So theoretically, Senate goes nuclear
Any chance of bipartisan civility in the Senate is lost.
Appellate courts are stacked with hardcore RW'ers.
SCOTUS is stacked with hardcore RW'ers.
Never-ending wars across the globe.
Senate "majority" signs off on SS privatisation.
Major corporations bail on their pensions.
Country is in financial crisis.
More people start speaking out against the government.
Martial law put into effect.
What is your breaking point?
Do you decide for secession of Northern and Southern boundaries?
Do you stay and fight from where you are--even if you are in a deeply red state with neighbors named Billy Bob and Bubba?
Do you go to another country?

1. if the nuclear option is used....
the dems will shut down the senate (hopefully) for the rest of the session if not the rest of the Emporer's presidency. Yes, this will mean no pending leslation will be approved for 2 1/2 years, no money for troops, no budget, a lot of things that need to get done won't. We have to be prepared to accept that if we are to force a return to the previous rules. If a couple of republican senators don't stand up for the rights of the minority, things are going to get really, really ugly.

2. They won't need the Dems anymore if this happens
My strategy would be to recruit the HR Dems to walk out in solidarity if they pass this in the Senate. That would shut the government down.
I don't care if they go back to their districts or stand in the WH lawn, something has gotta give.
