Lindsay Graham: "The White House is going to have to listen to us."
I think Lindsay Graham just flipped a booger on Rove and Bush with that statement tonight.

14. No, Frist has just been had. The nominee for 2008 is Newt. And
for that to happen both Frist and DeLay must be GONE. Good-bye.

3. I think Lindsey Graham wants to be McCain's running mate in 2008
and plans to give Chuck Hagel a run for suck-up points between now and then.

7. That thought scares me.
Not because I'd want to vote for them...I don't trust either of them and I'm sure I disagree with them on 90% of the issues.

But I can see them having a pretty big following...without nearly as many weaknesses as the chimpboy had....and he still got close enough that he was able to steal 2 elections. I fear that if we don't get our act together and offer up some REALLY top notch leaders...a ticket like this would beat us straight up.

Not because they are right, but because that's the way things have been working in this country.

19. What's funny (not ha ha funny) is that, to me, almost no one
except Frist, or Allen, sound as bad a B* and his entourage. Like getting rid of B* is getting rid of his regime too. Yes, I agree, we would have trouble against McCain. Lindsey Graham is pretty redneck. (He says NAY' toe) McCain can get a little preachy though. Hmmm hope there's a swiftboat group against him. But, you know, I don't think McCain can be bought. So the BFEE will be out, right ?

21. I don't think McCain would win....
He doesn't have the religious right. He's pissed them off bigtime today. He also doesn't have the Norquist faction--he hates Norquist, according to Norquist. I may be wrong, but I don't think he would win.

You gotta think these guys are sooo tired of getting shit on and screamed at when the don't tow a right wing party line--these moderates are the most powerful senators on the hill right now, and they just said screw you to Cheney appointing Shrub king. The right wing blowhards are going to explode, man its going to be something to watch.

9. OK, NOW I get it!!!
I hadn't heard Graham's comments -- he's probably pissed because the WH has been ignoring all but their religious base recently. Now they're going to have to court the moderates as well ... Hoping he's right that some of these nominees won't make it past the "fair, up-or-down vote."

11. There can't be joy in the White House after what Lindsay said.
Speaking directly to the White House demanding that they consult with the Senate ...

And old Fat Boy can't make his big move in the Senate tomorrow.

If you think there's criticism about the deal on DU tonight, I just turned on Savage for a minute and he was nuclear.

"Moderate Republicans Tell White House to Bite It" is the real story here.

On the other hand is Frist whining that he is not with it.

24. Lindsay Graham also grandstanded for the cameras...
...at the Abu-Ghraib Senate hearings when he swore that he make sure that those responsible wouldn't be limited to a few low ranking guards. He swore to follow this up the chain of command.

Guess he forgot.

26. Even if this is only grandstanding, it will piss the WH team off
and that makes me one happy woman. :) It also shows that maybe, just maybe, some republicans are sick of being ruled by King George.
