Democratic Senators make me ill
We had them. We so totally had them. Frist was caught. Heads we win, tails, they lose. All we had to do was say "You want the filibuster gone so bad? Just try it" Let them take the hit, and even if they don't, you have to be willing to lose, completely and utterly, all the way down the line, if it is something you truly believe in.

Instead, Dems mistook appearance for reality, compromise for virtue.

I am very ashamed of the (D) next to my name right now. A step away from saying "forget them" and finding some other party. Tomorrow I might feel a little better, but right now, I want to scream!

2. Makes me glad I'm registered "independent."

It's been a disgusting display of cowardice and capitulation, with partisan cheerleaders calling it a "victorious retreat." What bullshit!

7. I get more tempted to join you every day.
The Democratic leadership cares more about Bush than about us.

3. If those three that they are
letting get on the judiciary were so bad yesterday what makes them ok today? And we are supposed to trust them not to try this again if they think there isn't really a good reason to filibuster. They never learn.

4. They make me laugh.
You see, I saw the writing on the wall, long ago.

That's why there is an (I) next to my name on the voting rolls. After 20 years of loyal support, I walked away.

6. With me
I'm still a democrat (old school style) but I'm just so depressed with all this. I just feel like this was all "smoke's and mirror's" for something else going on behind the scenes. I just feel so bad about this and can't shake the feeling.

5. I don't know what makes me more ill
The actions of our so-called representatives or the delusions of so many progressives here about the number of judges that will be confirmed, the impact these reactionary judges will have, and, most importantly, the fact the radical political agenda of these right-wing judges has been de facto acknowledged by the Democratic leadership as being sufficiently mainstream.

8. those judges were going to get in
that is what happens when you have the majority in house, senate and whitehouse. that is why we all worked so hard in 2004. that is why we were yelling at friends and family, strangers in the grocery store how important this election was.

i know specifically i argued to my friends what was going to happen with the courts if bush was re elected.

you can get pissed at the dem, but the reality is be pissed at american people for buying into this with power abusing repugs
