"There comes a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part, you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all."

2. I saw only $20B. That's not enough for four months in Iraq.
But let's take your figure. Eight months.

That's a lot of money to spend fulfilling a prophecy.

US govt: International Terrorism is the greatest threat America faces.

Dumb-ass gullible masses and elected reps: How so?

US govt: Look at all the soldiers being killed by terrorists in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Dumb-ass gullible masses and their reps: So the money was worth it.

6. 300 billion is more than the combined GNP of the 118 poorest countries.
Edited on Wed May-25-05 09:51 PM by oblivious
Only 17 countries have a GNP over 300 billion.

That's a lot of money for the only purpose of:
(a) killing people
(b) destroying places
(c) making enemies
