Gonzo's Secreat Raids....
This may be a dupe and as I have not seen it posted, I thought I would post it. If this has been posted, sorry. It is a MUST read:

The Secret Raids of Alberto Gonzales
Operation Falcon: 10,000 Swept Up

By MIKE WHITNEY

There's only one way to make sure that the machinery of state-terror is operating at maximum efficiency; flip on the switch and let er rip. That was thinking behind last month's massive roundup of 10,000 American citizens in what was aptly-christened Operation Falcon.

Operation Falcon was a massive clandestine dragnet that involved hundreds of state, federal and local law-enforcement agencies during the week of April 4 to April 10, 2005. It was the largest criminal-sweep in the nation's history and was brainchild of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and his counterpart in the US Marshal's office, (Director) Ben Reyna.

The secret-raids "produced the largest number of arrests ever recorded during a single initiative," Reyna boasted.

The details are mind-boggling. Over 960 agencies (state, local and federal) were directly involved acting on 13,800 felony warrants and spending nearly $900,000 on the operation. As the conservative Washington Times noted, "The sweep was a virtual clearinghouse for warrants on drug, gang, gun and sex-offender suspects nationwide."

8. Who is to say there were no papers? 10k people?
Do you actually think they got that many warrants? Or did they get a big blanket statement? It is really an amazing thing to consider... that many people, that many locations, that many officers. Somehow I don't see these guys as worried too much on who they picked up, but more so on if they could pull off a large round up if needed. I agree with the author on this... war games, practice sessions, or whatever this should be called.

10. Well since these so called administrative warrants haven't been approved
as yet as far as I know or have heard, they had to do it the old fashion way, get a judge to issue it...and yes we have enough judges to get er done unfortunately or fortunately if they are really felons.

11. Again, I say this on some level as devil's advocate, but
On another level I ask the same questions of myself when considering the various possibilities...

We are "told" that "10k" people were suddenly "found", a judge suddenly "approved" in all instances, and all of these people are "criminals".

Now, what I want is a full list of criminals, crimes, arrest dates... you know, the standard press release a police department issues.

Now the other problem I have is why, if it was known where they were, did the local authorities simply not arrest them? I mean why this big event?

I don't like it at all. It has a really odd construct to it. Mass sweeps are very dangerous.

12. Agree with massive sweeps dangerous, but over what time period...
feasible in a weeks time that these number of arrests could be made. And probably suddenly is less than sudden if have actual dates. When you get the list criminals, crimes and arrest dates please share...

14. Who can believe this hogwash?
Sure, they rounded up some but 10,000? I believe it is just more spew for the sheeple. Similar to a Zawari story. You know, the guy who has lost a leg, arm and possibly a lung ? God, this has become a complete fantasy world. Pardon the ranting, please. Too much news today.
