Anyone watching Lee Hamilton on CSPAN Wash. Journal?
Edited on Thu May-26-05 07:18 AM by Mika
Many callers with 911 "conspiracy theories" (good questions), Brian Lamb cutting them off. :puke:

3. I see the same
Any hard questions are brushed off. And for Hamilton to say that 'conspiracy theorists' need to come up with evidence is bullshit, since so much of the 'evidence' is beyond the reach of all but the commision.
It's all about not allowing America to look bad.
And the argument that there have been no further attacks since 9/11, so we must be doing a good job, is bullshit, too. Maybe we just haven't needed to orchestrate a new attack yet - people and the press have been sufficiently cowed by propaganda.
Liars!

6. Almost EVERY call was a "conspiracy theorist" (had good questions).
Brian and Lee playing dumb and dumber.

Meanwhile: The police state evolves.

5. Is This Fascist Thursday Now?
Anyone notice Brian handle that lady who called with a question after Hamilton left...and said "you mean you don't believe all the people inside this city, including Democrats (as though that somehow makes it all kosher)" compared to one guy or something like that.

Damn right Brian, a lot of us don't believe you or Hamilton or anyone else who has a vested interest in protecting this regime. Of course trying to point that out to Brian would be like pointing the truth to any Repugnican...they couldn't see it if it stood 10 feet tall in front of their faces.

9. Hamilton is my former congressman.
I'm in the 9th district in Indiana. Maybe Hamilton is clueless or complicit -- but he's a hell of a lot better than the right-wing freakazoid who just got elected. A guy named Mike Sodrell, who inherited a trucking company from his father and who campaigned on conservative social issues (highlighting his membership in the megachurch locals call Six Flags Over Jesus), and who has no college education. (He attended Indiana University Southeast briefly.) He almost beat Hamilton's protege Baron Hill two years ago, so the Republicans poured 3 million dollars into this district and squeaked out a very narrow victory.

13. The kind where you use a marker to complete the little black arrows.
But the vote was close (1500 votes out of maybe 150,000), and there were some problems reported in a couple of counties. But I believe a recount was done with no doubt as to the outcome.

What was so galling about the election was the way the national GOP targetted my district. They poured $3.1 million into it, the Democrats countered with 2 million. There were Mike Sodrell signs absolutely everywhere. Now I'm afraid we're going to have to put up with him until the end of time -- across the river, the congressional district representing the city of Louisville was captured by the Republicans about six years ago, from a moderate Democrat (who alienated his liberal support base by flip-flopping on gay rights). He was replaced by another member of Six Flags Over Jesus (Anne Northrup) who is very conservative and pro-Bush, and who has gotten re-elected by ever wider margins in the three races she's run since she first got elected.

10. So glad you posted this Mika
Was wondering if others saw it - frankly, I was laughing my ass off - all I could think of was Karl Rove was probably on the phone with CSPAN right then saying - GET THIS OFF!!! - And do not have anymore people on related to a 9/11 discussion. Remember Cheney and Bush calling Daschle and telling them not to dig too deep here. Well too late dumbasses - Americans aren't nearly as dumb as they had thought or hoped. It seems a whole lot of people are on to all of them.

ONLY 1 caller blamed Bill Clinton (of course) for "sitting on his ass" - nearly all the rest of the callers were people not buying the governments story at all. It was a beautiful thing to watch Lee Hamilton and Brian Lamb squirm. Brian thought he could just cut off the first couple, but then when every caller was basically asking legitimate questions and stating that they now believed the Bush Administration and the government in orchastrating and carrying out 9/11 - he had to regroup and play devil's advocate. A couple of callers got off website names (Prison Planet was one, and dammit, now I can't remember the other) - which was cool. A few talked about David Ray Griffin's expose very intelligently.

They have got to start fearing their chickens are about to come home to roost. There are less and less people in denial about this event- which of course brings up all kinds of questions about this whole fake "war on terror". Brian asking them to explain, thinking they couldn't, and only allowing the callers to put it out there in a very consise intelligent way was a great backfire!

Lee Hamilton kept mentioning the "19 highjackers" - and I kept wishing someone would call in and say WHAT 19 hijackers, the ones that turned up alive?? What about the autopsy doctor who said there were NO Arabs on the planes?? He might have really lost his breakfast on that one. Me thinks he won't be coming back as a guest anytime soon. The heat was definitely a little too hot for him. The one woman caller who called him out for being a "whitewasher" of the Bush family was brilliant.
