My local TN paper will actually print "alternative news" as editorial if you call it to their attention. I get published at a high rate by always including sources.

Judge: Parents can't teach pagan beliefs
By Kevin Corcoran
kevin.corcoran@indystar.com

An Indianapolis father is appealing a Marion County judge's unusual order that prohibits him and his ex-wife from exposing their child to "non-mainstream religious beliefs and rituals." The parents practice Wicca, a contemporary pagan religion that emphasizes a balance in nature and reverence for the earth. Cale J. Bradford, chief judge of the Marion Superior Court, kept the unusual provision in the couple's divorce decree last year over their fierce objections, court records show. The order does not define a mainstream religion. Bradford refused to remove the provision after the 9-year-old boy's outraged parents, Thomas E. Jones Jr. and his ex-wife, Tammie U. Bristol, protested last fall.

What a perfect example of why the Democrats have been so up in arms at George Bush's activist judicial nominees. Wait... doesn't that pesky Constitution say - "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof... " - what about activist judges? Of course, this fundamentalist wacko's provision will be overturned in appellate court, but it's the principle. Imagine if this bozo was on the Supreme Court, and there was no chance for appeal. After hundreds of years of progress, there's a push in this country to go back to the self-righteous Puritan (or Pharisee) days. Here's an idea - instead of attacking their Constitutional rights with the courts, let's just burn the witches like our forefathers who had no tolerance for diversity. Grab your pitchfork and torch, we're makin' real progress here in Neo-conservative Republican controlled 'Murika!

Regards!
