President "Tumbler"
In today's LI Newsday, Les Payne writes about Laura Bush's contention
that her husband should have told about the evacuation of the capital
last week.

http://www.newsday.com/news/opinion click on "If only first
lady were the last to know"

Excerpt: "Perhaps the Secret Service knows something about the
president that his wife will not admit. After all, their initial code
name for Bush was "Tumbler". The name, to be fair, might have
referred to the president's days as a cheerleader for Yale, though
there's no record of acrobatics in his collegiate maneuvers. Could
"Tumbler" have been reaching for that more acclaimed reputation
Bush earned with his youthful imbibing indiscretions that trailed him
into his later 40's? Or maybe the "Tumbler" tag alluded to the
president's involuntary pratfalls that so embarrasses his family.

During a family visit in Maine, this skill had Bush tumbling commander
over chief from an "untippable" Segway, the world's first dynamically
stabilized, self balancing human transporter, tennis racket in hand.
Somehow the president managed to fly off the scooter, perhaps not
unlike the time he fell off the couch watching a football game."

1. Someday ..somebody
will write a book and make a movie about just how much bush needed to be propped up during his residency in our White House..known as the Chimphouse during the bushs's stay.

3. It would make FDR's serious illness well kept secret

pale in comparison.

When I think about the way they protect this idiot from his drunk tumbles , earpiece etc.,it makes me so mad !

FDR was a different day and they were not trying to protect his drinking it was serious.

4. Is there anything he doesn't have to be propped about?
Questions can only be asked if he is wired. Every little speech and decision has to be written out for him. He is many times worse than Reagan.

who knew how to learn his lines and hit his marks. Bush is not a professional anything.

ergo the movie will be so juicy.

Farenheit 9/11 will have nothing on it.

In fact, who know?..maybe Michael Moore will have the honor.

I thought of the book/movie deal because of a 3 disc CD set I saw from netflix about a series of books written by an Englishman in the late '80's and early 90's and made into British tv(which is the Best!)..Called appropriately enough .."The House Of Cards/Trilogy"

"Set in Britain's Houses of Parliament, this political satire follows the career of a ruthless MP (Ian Richardson) whose election campaign has been plagued by a number of mysterious deaths."

"This sequel to The House of Cards follows the ambitious MP (Ian Richardson) who'll stop at nothing -- not even murder -- to further his career. His limitless scheming even involves the Prince of ..."

"The completely ruthless Prime Minister Francis Urquhart (Ian Richardson) now "wants to leave his mark on the world" before his term as the political leader of Great Britain ends. But when skeletons ..."

But, this was fiction in the '90's and it could mirror so much of what is going on in politics today! It's astoundingly spot on!

2. He's not even in the "loop" anymore....
and I can't blame them for that. The man's a walking disaster. If "god" told him to push the button to nuclear destruction, he'd do it. People that actually listen to the little voices in their heads shouldn't be anywhere near the seat of power when the time comes.
Please, leave bush out of the loop. The future of the planet probably hangs in the balance.

7. Elis showed their opinion of him in May 2001
when he went to New Haven to receive an honorary degree. According to local news reports at the time, applause for Bush was nowhere near as big as for honorary degree recipient Sam Waterston (who, imho, would make a 1000% better President, but the fellow likes acting too much to want to go into politics!)

10. Sadly, that's about right.
How pathetic is it that the so called leader of the free world
is allowed to play on his bike while the nation's capital is
being evacuated?

11. Hi Old Broad
Even though it wasn't much of a terror surprise, it is funny that he is a passover in the chain of command.
