(Not a new story, I realize, but a new article. The more, the better)

Citizen Groups Ask Congress To File Formal "Resolution Of Inquiry" Against Bush

A coalition of citizen groups will ask the U.S. Congress to file a formal "Resolution of Inquiry", the first necessary legal step to determine whether U.S. President Bush has committed impeachable offenses. The request, written by Boston constitutional attorney John C. Bonifaz on behalf of the citizen groups, cites the Downing Street memo and issues surrounding the planning and execution of the Iraq war. The full text of the request is available here.

The request was written on behalf of several groups, including:

Veterans for Peace
Progressive Democrats of America (PDA)
911Citizens Watch
Democracy Rising
Code Pink
Global Exchange
Democrats.com
Velvet Revolution
Gold Star Families for Peace

And cites the possible grounds for impeachment:

1. Recommended. A Dem majority in the House is needed in '06
If that happens it could get interesting. But a republican majority will never allow it.

I guess if anyone else wants to add to it or get updated on what's going on there's a good place.

5. We need a "few good Repubs"
Remember Nixon? That's what it took to get things moving. It seems lately that some old fashion Repubs are beginning to strongly object to some of the Admin. tactics such as nuclear option. Bushco bullies his own, hopefully not all will cower to their threats. An impeachment is absolutely necessary so that America can save face and tell the world we aren't all power hungry.
