WTF is up with the audio quality of the Air America stream?

I'm listening to Ed Shultz. When he is speaking it sounds tinny and has a lot of echo. When a caller comes on, it sounds fine. When some of the commercials come on, there is so much bass and volume that they are impossible to listen to. I usually listen to Air America on an AM radio station, and it sounds OK, so I think the problem is with the stream on the Internets.

Anyone else have this problem?

YOU'RE LISTENING TO THIS STATION RIGHT NOW..." commercial at the most inoportune moments, cutting of Franken's testimony at Conyer's Media Bias Hearing and similar like things. You're right about the levels too. I gotta crank the speakers up to hear the damn show, then the effin' commercials come on and blow me out of my chair!

Edit: (itchy posting finger) We also get a lot of double broadcasting with either two shows going at the same time or a show and commercials. HIGHLY annoying.

4. The problem is you're hearing two different sources mixed.

Ed Schultz isn't on Air America, which means your stream must be coming from an afilliate which mixes AAR programming with Jones network (which syndicates Schultz).

This means that the local afilliate you are streaming from inserts their own commercials during the breaks and they are at a different volume.

You could avoid this by listening to only the direct Air America stream out of New York City, but you wouldn't be able to hear Ed Schultz on that stream.
