NPR report on WA library that denied FBI patron access
This happened last fall, but here's the follow-up NPR report on the Whatcom County librarian who said No to the FBI request for the Bin Laden biography's patron info (my sister works with her):

1. This is my local library.
The branch is right around the corner from our cabin. We are all very proud of our librarians and they get a lot of support from the community. It is good to know that someone has your back in these troubling times.
