1. Gov Goodhair is not popular with general electorate
In a normal election, Gov. Goodhair would be very vulnerable to a challenge. Kay Baily Hutchinson is going to challenge him in the primary according to rumors. Kay Baily is the most popular politician in Texas according to polls but Gov. Goodhair's strength is with the christian right wing voters. It could be a real nasty fight.
but i'd die laughing to see texans protest gov. goodhair by haunting him with hair nets wherever he goes. wave 'em around, wear them on your head, use them like gloves like 80s madonna fans...
4. Did you see the protest at the church he went to yesterday
to sign his anti-gay-marriage bill? The protestors were GREAT! They had signs that said 'Separation of church and state', 'tax the churches', 'Stop the American Taliban'. It's backfiring on Mr. Goodhair. He is ranked as the 12th worst governor EVER.
14. That went Tango Uniform during an unsuccesful special session
...which was supposed to fix school financing and ended up doing nothing. School finance was the big issue for the legislative session that just ended, again in total failure. Voters seem to finally starting to get pissed, so chances are good the Dems can pick up some seats in 2006.
