Anybody here NOT remember Watergate ??

It was quite slow in being exposed. Many of us recall how through the summer of 1972, we were wondering why it was not being reported. It was known by many of us before the election of '72 that some crooked shit had gone down but there was no way it was going to be reported before the election. If you discussed it with a Republican, they would just grin and call you a "conspiracist" or some such rot. It is a lot like the the present atmosphere around the DSM. Although I'm not sure they would ever permit another "Watergate" to happen. The stars were aligned and it was once in a lifetime. But, it did happen. And the Senators never mentioned "impeachment" until the "smoking gun". They simply investigated until they found the truth and never went into the investigation with the intent to impeach Richard Nixon. I think we could learn a lesson from that.

But in retrospect, I can't figure how that elections took place. The burglars were in jail possessing links to White House, links later confirmed by their bank accounts. I remember the Saturday Night massacre in great detai. (October, '73) and the resignation.

John Dean wrote titled "Worse Than Watergate" -- I think the DSM will have the effect of the "3rd rate burglary" but several journalists abroad and a few here do see blood in the water and are drilling deeper into the story -- the Plame story will hook up too, not to mention the infamous Office of Special Plans -- I pray that the unraveling has truly begun, and they will all end up cheneying themselves ...
