It happened with the peterson trial as well. I think too many folks are still watching their TVs. :(

One would love to think of DU as an oasis away from the total CRAP we can tune into on our TVs at any moment.

tongue in cheek, or not. My local news in being pre-empted, and to think ... this is why I don't have cable! Jesus, I feel for those of you who do and have to endure this shit on a daily basis! I come here to get what is actually news ... :shrug:

Even Brian Williams noted all of the ridiculous media attention in the past few weeks ... and said something like "Now maybe we can finally move past this."
