So now Carl Levin is upset about the new memos
but the way he treated George Gallaway MP when he was speaking truth to power is disgusting

When are the Democrats in Congress going to STAND FOR SOMETHING?

5. I thought Levin was irritated with Galloway's apparent ignorance
of the fact that Levin was one of the very few who voted against the IWR. Galloway lumped Levin in with the rest of them. I'd be irritated, too, if someone had lumped me in with Americans who have supported the war from the beginning.

3. When did Levin
go to the DARK SIDE? I was shocked by his conduct with Galloway. Now he says something about the memos relating to not planning for the AFTERMATH of war. They prove there was never any plan except to drop bombs, kill and conquer, all to show the CHIMPS commander and chief timbre. It was all done for politics as per Rove's constantly running nightmare of power and greed uber alles.

4. Carl Levin sold out.
Demand from him to hold this administration accountable. Demand until he breaks open and actually stands up for something.

That's what you should do. http://www.usalone.com/warlies.htm

6. Easy for you to say.
When a Senator who voted against IWR takes action to keep the Downing Street documents in the news, he deserves our gratitude, don't you think?

7. I'm glad he's saying something but be realistic...
He's still focusing on the distraction part of the minutes!!! Sure there was no post-war plan, oh boy, and we did this on purpose, billions wasted etc.

But where is the outrage over the real abuses, intelligence and facts being fixed around the policy and regime change that would be illegal....which they would make legal?

Where is the real outrage? Did Carl Levin get the memo? Did he really? :wow:

9. Just slightly OT, but what happened with these
oil-for-food hearings? I don't remember reading anything about them reconvening after the adjournment following Galloway's contribution. Are they still going on?

10. Galloway has been doing speaking engagements on it. There's a report here.
They scrubbed it though from the government website.

http://www.bradblog.com/

Galloway was accused of heading up oil for food, when Carl Levin and Norm Coleman were trying to find a scapegoat.

11. Yep, thanks, but I know all that - I meant what's going on
with the rest of the hearings. They suddenly adjourned after George spoke his piece, but I haven't heard that they ever reconvened after that.. (obviously, there was much more, eg. about Bayoil, in the hearings).

Did they just give up after Galloway socked it to them?
