Canadians vote Bush least-liked leader

OTTAWA, July 12 (UPI) -- U.S. President George W. Bush is the most unpopular American president in recent memory among Canadians.

Environics senior associate Derek Leebosh said, while Canadians maintain a favorable attitude toward the United States, Bush is deeply unpopular in Canada. That's in contrast to his still high, though declining, approval ratings among Americans.

"George Bush as president will probably be the best thing that ever happened to Canadian nationalism," Leebosh said. "He totally personifies the essence of the side of the United States that Canadians tend to dislike -- the anti-intellectual Texan in a Stetson, social conservative."

1. They should make an NAU
much like the EU.

This will then prevent a Republican from ever taking office again.

5. No way...he's Popular with Segregationalists
Alliance loves the guy...so does King Ralph over in Alberta
Funny thought even followers of their parties want to close the borders to American goods and Alliance and King Ralph have had to do more spinning than any GOP these days...
Too bad we don't really have a Free Media to point out Ralph boasted of a 'personal' relationship with the Prez, he stymied a Inter-Provincial Council on agreeing with a Federal Body to oversee Medicare...and his party 'debated' separatism...
Personally I would throw the cuffs on the 'traitor'

7. George W. makes me proud to be Canadian!
A friend and I agreed on this today -- sitting outside looking at a scene oddly unmarred by social collapse, despite our government dispensing cannabis to sick people, and allowing same-sex marriage ....
