Yahoo! spins for the chimp
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story2&cid=694&u=/ap/20030922/ap_on_el_pr/democrats_bush_poll_1&printer=1

Why is it that when the numbers go against the chimp that the neo-con shills in the news media immediately look to the 'margin of error' in a poll and weigh it in favor of the chimp? Why isn't it just as likely that the margin of error would additionally go against the chimp?? Yahoo! news is reporting a tie between Clark and the chimp in the most recent head-to-head presidential preference polls ... when in reality Clark polls 49% to chimp's 46%.

I've seen other news organizations call this Clark's announcement bounce. The first time I've ever heard of such a thing ... but when the news goes against the chimp, the neo-con news media swing into the embarrassingly silly business of spinning for the chimp.

1. Error cannot be credited only in one direction. . .
so the 3% margin of error in this poll could also be read as Clark leading Bush by 52% to 43%.
