World Tribunal on Iraq June 23th thru 27th
From the press kit of the WTI

The objectives of the World Tribunal on Iraq

The World Tribunal on Iraq (WTI) is a worldwide undertaking to reclaim justice. It aims to record the severe wrongs, crimes and violations that were committed in the process leading up to the aggression against Iraq, during the war and throughout the ensuing occupation, that continue to be widespread to this day. It is our intention to also record the social, political, environmental and cultural devastation. In the end, the evidence gathered and presented at this tribunal will serve as a historical record that breaks the web of lies promulgated by the war coalition and its embedded press.

On June 23rd to the 27th 2005, at the start of the third year of the occupation of Iraq, the culminating session will take place in Istanbul. This session will reach a decision following an examination of the results of the previous sessions as well as new reports and testimonies, while evaluating the implications of the aggression against Iraq for the world at large.

This tribunal can also be viewed via the WTI website via streaming media.

This is extremely important. We as Americans have many avenues of protest and response open to us ie: Represntatives, letters, phone calls, emails, faxes, & protests. And although granted they may not always be as affective as we would like we must recognize that the Iraqi people do not have these same options available to them while they are busy dodging bullets and bombs. We need to keep their plight in the forefront.

2. Here's a thought....
This tribunal ends with the revelations that we already know; this war was unjust, unwarranted and just plain stupid. We'll probably get some true numbers as to how many Iraqi's have died as a direct result of the occupation along with the economic and social impact as well. Let it come - I can take the world hating us for awhile. What I want to see is, all this information being used to nail CCB's ass to the wall!!!

3. i wish somebody would indite him
and cheney. I wish the UN would place sanctions against the US - that'd wake up a few people. For us? we need to take back congress and get the impeachment process started.

4. US isnt the only country ruled by rich elite...
It is not in the interests of most of the countries that have true sanction power to seek justice by placing sanctions against the US.

People need to achieve democracy in all western nations to really have a fighting chance against the US.
