Imagine if 100,000 private contractors were in America, GM was
laying off more people than it ever had, was essentially a mere shadow of itself, Utilities had been sold off to foreign interests, a foreign stooge has laid down 100 rules for your economy most of which have cut you out of the bigger picture....

would you be just a little bit ticked off? Oh and did I mention that they overthrew your government based on lies and fabrications?

With guns in most Americans' homes, I am sure we would see some insurgency... not much but some. Pity.

2. Oddly enough....
I expect pretty much all of that to happen in the next few years anyway.

1) GM is already in junk status. So I doubt it will take long to go down.

2) The Utilities are generally publicly traded, so as the dollar goes down, it's entirely possible that they'll be taken over by foreign investors.

3) Private contractors don't care who they work for anyway.

I suspect your conclusions about people's reaction is also accurate.
