Milbank slurs Democrats.com because a FREEPER TROLL fooled him
It's all explained here:

http://www.democrats.com/milbank

In a nutshell, some freeper troll has been harassing Milbank pretending to be from Democrats.com. Milbank fell for it and took out his anger at the troll on Democrats.com and the DSM hearing. Bob Fertik (founder of D.c) learned of what actually happened through a testy e-mail exchange. Now Milbank and the Post are too chickenshit to correct their errors, only too happy to leave the impression that a) Democrats.com organized the DSM hearings (totally not true; they helped organize the rally afterwards), and b) distributed anti-Semitic lit at the rally (even less true; they only distributed D.c paraphernalia).

Dana Milbank and Washington Post owe Bob Fertik, D.c, and John Conyers et al. a GIGANTIC, groveling apology.

2. It's too primitive even for Rove.
And Milbank fell for it.

8. Correction: Nothing is too primitive for Rove - not even that!
If not him personally, then it was one of the many elves he has trained, no doubt, to take his place someday.

4. Scroll down further on that link for some EXCELLENT LTTE's written
to the Post:

Looks like Dana stumbled into it, big time. But then what did he expect? That craptastic piece of his was a flashback to the dog-spew that prompted USA Today to kick Ann Coulter's skinny ass to the curb during the Democratic National Convention.

Seventhson...troll warning
Submitted by grinch on June 21, 2005 - 8:27am.
Seventhson/Thalia/other names by the bagfull is a certified troll with a long history at Dems.Com. When banned for cause, he frequently returns under another screen-name. His specialty is progressive disruption of threads.

All Mods: This individual came up on the old Dems.com boards several years ago. He first appeared as a 13 year old adopted Korean girl: Thalia. He has claimed to have worked with disadvantaged kids, to be an attorney, to be an expert on flight/aircraft when he has no actual knowledge of any of this. Ban immediately and check the sign ins for a return.

I wonder if this is the very troll who harassed Milbank.

9. I don't know if it's the same poster, but I remember "seventhson"...
...alright. He had a small, passionate fan club hereabouts, but ultimately got tombstoned, don't remember the reason. Very curious.

10. That poster was tombstoned right after the Nov.2 elections. He allegedly
shot personal messages to DU members with insults and claimed that he had us all fooled for two years.

13. I seem to recall him making anti-Semitic comments.
Not just anti-zionist or anti-Likud, but flat out anti-Semitic. It makes me wonder how involved in l'affaire Milbank he might be.

7. There are small-scale "false-flag" operations,
such as this one, and then there are large-scale false-flag operations.

11. Milbank is becoming synonymous with deranged.
The guy is in serious trouble. Don't know why but he's liking like The Picture of Dorian Gray.

He was the only semi-pseudo-real journalist for about 8 months until they slalpped him to the back pages. But now he is an officially deputized troll for the * regime. How can he look at himself in the mirror every morning.

I swear to everything holy (to me) that I will never, ever buy the Washington Post again (I've boycotted since 1998, you know why).

12. Robert Parry is excellent on the subject of Milbank
Mocking the Downing Street Memo
By Robert Parry
June 18, 2005

http://consortiumnews.com/2005/061705.html

Dana Milbank, as the Post’s White House correspondent, has drawn conservative ire from time to time for not showing sufficient respect for George W. Bush. But if Milbank were tempted to write an over-the-top attack on Bush – like he did on Conyers and the Downing Street Memo hearing – he would pay a high price from retaliating conservatives who would accuse him of bias and flood his editors with complaints.

Almost certainly, Milbank would have second thoughts about such an article or his editors would for him. Without doubt, the story would not have appeared in the openly insulting form that it did when Democrats and liberals were the target.

Though no one wants to say it, everyone in mainstream journalism knows intuitively that there is no real risk in ripping liberals. Most often, it’s a win-win. Not only can you write almost whatever you want, but it buys the journalist a measure of protection from conservatives, who have a long record of costing reporters their jobs.

Milbank, for instance, must know that his putdown of the Downing Street Memo hearing means he can wave the article in front of Bush supporters the next time they criticize something he’s written about the president.

14. Thanks for sharing that. Wow, he caves on an issue of war and
peace so he can have cover for complaining about some minor issue. Milbank is even worse than I thought. Vile little man...
