Someone slap that moron.

"I'm not comparing this story to the situation in Iraq." Oh really, dipshit? Then, why bring it up?

"I think the Bible is illustrative." Give me a fucking break. He makes about as much sense as *.

Someone else who uses that Terri Schiavo circus created epithet. I actually use "Jesus Christ on a trailer hitch", but close enough. :D

16. When Gore was running,
the two reservations I had about it were that Lieberman was his running mate and Tipper Gore his wife. But then, the Shrub came out of my home state to challenge Gore and it was a done deal. No fucking way I would ever vote for that man. And of course, what happened in 2000 up to today has gotten me to the point where I will never, ever vote for a Republican even for dog catcher. Anybody who can still stand and say they are a Republican is not worth the air they breathe.

8. There is the 40 year number again.......
40 years * $150 billion per year = $6.0 trillion in 2005 dollars

Joe also has used the opportunity to involve Iraq and Saddam Hussein in the 9-11 attacks. Total fiction, but still pushing this idea on the American people.

Lieberman should announce his membership in the republican party at the noon break! :wtf:

17. We've already had a 1000 proofs.
I just wish my party would occasionally throw out a bad seed like Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman. I hope we can run a credible democrat against him this next time. It's high time to kick that incumbent out.

15. I'm so disgusted with Lieberman...
Using the bible to justify continued fighting in Iraq and asserting the connection between 9/11 with Iraq? Is this a-hole for real? And he calls himself a democrat? What an f'ing traitor to the policies of his party!

Could it be his sympathizing with the neocons has anything to do with the fact that he's Jewish. Hmmm...

And this is who Gore chose as his running mate back in 2000? Somebody slap me!!!

18. I'm quite sure there are things that Gore regrets
and I have next to no doubt that Lieberman is one of them. Gore isn't stupid. He's keeping up with all of this and he knows as well as we do what a turncoat Lie-berman has become.

PS:
Rummy is very irritated by this "democratic" inquiry (intrusion) into his "affairs"...I think Joe is passing notes to the others asking them to go easy on the guys but it doesn't seem to be catching on.
Gee, sorry Donnie Boy!

23. There's something I don't get about Lieberman.
With red state conservative Dems like Ben Nelson, I can at least understand, if not necessarily approve of, their centrist/rightward positions.

But Lieberman is from Connecticut, a definite blue state. How the bloody hell does he keep getting elected? And why does he try to appeal to people who will never vote for him in the first place?

24. Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to
There is no more powerful ally one can claim in a debate than Jesus Christ, or God, or Allah, or whatever one calls this supreme being. But like any powerful weapon, the use of God's name on one's behalf should be used sparingly. The religious factions that are growing throughout our land are not using their religious clout with wisdom. They are trying to force government leaders into following their position 100 percent. If you disagree with these religious groups on a particular moral issue, they complain, they threaten you with a loss of money or votes or both. I'm frankly sick and tired of the political preachers across this country telling me as a citizen that if I want to be a moral person, I must believe in 'A,' 'B,' 'C,' and 'D.' Just who do they think they are? And from where do they presume to claim the right to dictate their moral beliefs to me? And I am even more angry as a legislator who must endure the threats of every religious group who thinks it has some God-granted right to control my vote on every roll call in the Senate. I am warning them today: I will fight them every step of the way if they try to dictate their moral convictions to all Americans in the name of 'conservatism.'
