I habe no idea where I can get his e-mail.
So I'll try it here:
To Bob Fertik
I refer to your blog on
http://www.democrats.com/milbankFirst I want to thank you for open your e-mail-conversation with Dana Milbank.
Here is my opinion:
You have to distinguish clearly between action and reaction.
Action was first made by Dana Milbank with his crap column, sorry that I need this word, in which he made all the false accusations to the democrats.
And as re-action there were these upset callers and E-Mailers.
Now, if there were any antisemitic on board ( I haven’t seen any evidence yet! ) it was still a re-action for the first attack to make our whole movement distrustful.
Nethertheless antisemitic turn is ugly and has to be banned and we have to made clear that our positions are all kind but never antisemitic.
But: Don’t forget who made the first incredible attack.
As you stated quite politely, "we" can expect an apology for this.
Because a lot people belong to this "we", if everybody in our movement will be sheared over this comb of beeing "left wing activist" and "wing nuts" only to get over the facts.
I think me, too.
But what happens now: Although we have to blame and discuss Dana’s attack, suddenly the point is on you to defend you because of some antisemitic callers.
It’s nearly always the same turn, we here in germany call it “Antisemitismuskeule”.
It’ll works all the time. Instead of talking ‘bout the DSM issue and the crap of Dana you were be mislead to defend this accusations.
The Jews have the ADL. We should create something similar, that will everytime act, if this pattern is used to dismiss someone or something.
That has to be the interest of the ADL, too. False accusations make the right accusations needless and if they were used to many times nobody recognize the right point to stop the real antisemitics.
Please excuse my English. I hope you all get what I want to say!
