Mr. Rove also said American armed forces overseas were in more jeopardy as a result of remarks last week by Senator Richard J. Durbin, Democrat of Illinois, who compared American mistreatment of detainees to the acts of "Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime - Pol Pot or others."

"Has there ever been a more revealing moment this year?" Mr. Rove asked. "Let me just put this in fairly simple terms: Al Jazeera now broadcasts the words of Senator Durbin to the Mideast, certainly putting our troops in greater danger. No more needs to be said about the motives of liberals."

10. Rove would rather say that than admit that the act of torture
, which is sanctioned by his boss, Bush, is the cause of increased danger to American troops....calling a Nazi tactic a Nazi tactic is simply speaking the truth....it wasn't the label that caused the added danger, it was the torture that beggared the comparison...Rove is blaming a well deserved label the same way Rumsfeld blamed cameras...neither will own up to the truth....that the torture they promote is the problem.

Rove knows full well who caused the added risk....the lies put the troops in harms way.....the government endorsed torture increased the danger.

Bottom line...the blood is still on Bush's hands.
