Anyone else get a ton of political surveys in the mail?
Today's was from the DNC for "grassroots leaders". Um, ok. It seems to be a barely concealed attempt at fundraising. It's not like they pay attention to what I reply. Have I just given too much money to people over the years?? It's so annoying to get the same freaking surveys year after year and still not have a voice in national politics! I don't care if I agree with it or not I'd just like someone to take a stand and stick with it for more than 10 minutes! Is that too much to ask??
I get them from all kinds of groups, some with petition forms to be signed and returned. They all include a donation request. It's just a fundraising gimmick.
I shred 'em along with the regular junk mail. I have a rotating list of groups to whom I do send donations on a regular budgeted schedule, so I don't need their surveys/petition forms.
I have an "always donate to", a "sometimes donate to", and an "occassional donate to" list. If you donate to someone one time in 10 years, they are forever annoying you lol.
However, I think they wasteentirelytoomuch money (to say nothing of paper) on these gimmicky mailers. There's got to be a better, simpler way to raise funds.
