Thank you for the warm welcome. And, yes, I did borrow the gif from a very generous DU member. But, of course, I asked for permission. And he generously granted it. I love this place. DU is not only informative, but it is fun as well. I spent about a year and a half at smirkingchimp.com, which I still enjoy posting on, but the posting there is not as much fun...I have always felt like an interloper there. This site is more relaxed and more welcoming to newbies.

My former spouse is a Bush fan, so I hear. He also thinks that a spaceship is coming for him and other chosen ones. And he moved out west years and years ago and dresses like one of the characters from his favorite movies - the spaghetti westerns. Duster and everything. Really, he didn't seem like that when we were married, but that was a long time ago. Now he sounds like a perfect freeper to me.

I guess the freeps must be on the East coast.

Here in San Diego we're a Democratic city--more registered Democrats than pukes. But the big money keeps trying to say that we're a conservative city, which may once have been true but certainly isn't any more.

We need polls that reflect the true sentiments of San Diegans so that the hackable Diebold GEMS software that counts the votes sent to the optical scanner won't get away with rigging the upcoming mayoral election. We need exit polls that aren't anywhere near close. We need a real landslide, and people are so mad about the last election that I think we're going to get one. I even know Republicans who didn't vote for her, who are angry about the way Donna Frye got cheated out of being mayor in the last election. If we don't get a Democrat into the mayor's seat soon, the whole damn city is going to be nothing but stadiums, condominiums, and potholes.
