Was it Odd that the History Channel Would Have a Special on Stalin Today?

I was channel surfing this afternoon when I was entranced by the 2 hour "Stalin: Man of Steel" special on the history channel. I know that a lot of people make the comparison between Hitler and Bush, but Bush's personality (paranoia, hard-headness, megalomania, and the gross destruction of his own people and the economy for his own personal avarice and hunger for power) seemeed to be closer to Stalin. Anyone Stalin thought threatened his power he had them shot. He despised and allowed his own people to suffer and starve while he enriched and used the media to empower himself. Everyone was scared to speak out against him and on and on,

It just appeared to me the History Channel might be using Stalin's story as a subtle metaphor of what is going on in the * administration today. What do you think?

You would see this kind of thing (especially about Hitler) on an almost daily basis. I don't think it means anything.

I haven't watched the history channel in a while so it may be they have been running a bunch of Stalin stuff since the 22nd was the day Operation Barbarossa started in 1941.
