Could the person who started the thread 'Former MI5 Agent Says 9/11 An Inside Job' please re-post it in a general forum?
I read it into a forum I can't access. But there's a poster there who has rubbished Shayler by blatantly misquoting him.
I wrote a reply that I couldn't post, but which sets the record straight about what Shayler actually said and the source to show that he was correct in what he said.
Here's my reply which may make sense to some of you:
<i>Are you trying to discredit Shayler
by misquoting him?
Shayler clearly says 'a thousands tonnes of home-made explosives' whereas you report him as saying '"...thousands tonnes..." of explosive'.
If you are not trying to discredit him why have you made an effort to misquote him, which you must have done with your ellipses and quote marks?
One of the IRA's biggest sources of explosive was ordinary fertilizer and sugar, I believe. I'm sure you know more than me about it, though I'll have to check any answer you give, it seems.
One thing I do know about these bombs is that fertilizer bombs were indeed 'massive' because the explosive power is that much less than manufactured explosives.
Here is a BBC report confirming what I have said:

Perhaps I'm being overly sensitive but this seemed to need correcting. Perhaps the poster I'm complaining about will re-raise his concerns so that we can thrash them out in the general forum?
