2. If there is, let's hope it's not from the PablumWing of the party.
Lieberman, Bayh, Clinton, Biden, Landrieu, etc. All they would respond with is the usual "we ain't as bad as the Republicans" followed by the usual drivel about supporting the troops and finishing the mission.

7. Not in the mood for some "muscular" followership?
Yeah, why do I know they won't allow someone like Conyers to give the rebuttal?

8. Dems should PRE EMPT it
They should issue a PRE SPEECH response.

"Tonight, the President will lie to you. He will tell you things in Iraq are going swimmingly, but that we have a long road ahead. He will lie to you to convince you he did not lie about his reasons for going to war. He will make repeated false statements, obfuscations, and misdirections that will cloud the clear facts and mislead you into believeing him.

Do not fall for it. Go to the following websites and articles and learn the truth about this administration."

Followed by every leftist weblink they can find.

---

Were I to enter national politics, it would be with the assumption that I would only be there for a single term. Therefore, I would have NO qualms about upsetting as many people in power as I could.

WHY DO THE DEMS NOT DO THIS? Protocol be damned! They need to respond IN ADVANCE.

10. The "strategists" who lost the last 3 elections will have none of this.

9. The "we did not mislead" talking point will NOT be met with DSM facts.
That is one thing you can count on- media silence on the DSM from top Democrats.

The only DSM talk you will ever hear from top DEMs will be on the internet or mabey a blurb for CSPAN.

Bush will talk about Iraq tonight- but dont expect the DEMs to talk about the DSM- which contains the REASON we are at war.

11. Is he really expected to say "we did not mislead"
I hope he does, because I think that is suicide. He should stay as far away from that topic as possible, enough people already believe ho lied, so I don't imagine him saying he didn't will matter. It is the "I am not a crook" syndrome.
