6. I think the powers that be have cut him loose,
and he knows it. The media is piling on him tonight because of the speech, the supremes refused to take the Miller/Cooper case, the leaks in Great Britain, the judge ordering the release of the torture pictures/videos.
I fully expect to see a full independent investigation into the Downing Street Minutes soon. It only takes a republican on the house judiciary to agree.
He has become too much of a liability to the people behind putting him in the drivers seat in the last 2 elections.

release of the torture pictures/videos.

Then he's done if they are as bad as Sy Hersh says.

I don't doubt for a second that they are.

23. too true=sacrifical lamb
i hate to hijack a funny thread with a serious post, esp. as a longtime lurker, but first poster, but this is exactly what i'm worried about. He's had his 2nd term vote, and now, with his popularity down and rethugs in power, the dark powers that be are tossing their water boy aside so that they can start the spin for 2008. I think they're gonna go with the "we've been in power and done such and such" claiming that it's still the right thing and then blame him for the mess, setting up spin for some other (can we say santorum?) young little lacky to run on the pretense that they're fixing their first "mistake", thereby picking up the pieces that are shattered right now for them. everybody's seeems to be celebrating tonight about shrub's flubs, but I think it's time to brace up. this is when it's gonna get really serious. can't be complacent.

9. Last time I cried was when.....
Aww fuck it.
This bastard is so stupid, that I can't expand the brain power to come up with a decent caption.

Maybe, how about...

"I'm cryin' because I just realized, I am the most reviled piece of hell spawned vomit on the freakin' planet"

That about sums up how I feel.

20. Thank you, thank you... I'm here 'til Friday.
What convinced me was the final dialog in Being There where the powerful old men who run America are pall-bearing poor old Melvin Douglas into his pyramid-shaped tomb, and bickering over who will be the next president....

"He's the only chance we've got..."

Creepy.

19. You see...
I said that I would work hand in hand with those who support my agenda. And, yes, while it's true that I don't have quite as many people to work with at the present time...uh, well, yes, we have plenty of troops in Iraq. But the generals may say at some future date that we don't...well, no, you see, I think our peacetime procurement policies are working. I can't help it if the companies cannot supply armor and ammunition fast enough; they really need to think about outsourcing. Hurt our economy? Nah, our economy is fine. Deficit? When Congress passes my programs we'll reduce the deficit by a bunch. I've got this jobs plan, you see. We're starting a retraining program to help programmers and factory workers become skilled in the fast foo, uh, restaurant industry. You see...
