I have an uncle who is Retired Navy

His son is in the army and is being sent to Iraq on his second tour.
My uncle basically said that if something happens to his son..there will be hell to pay.
His son didn't enlist in the military to fight for oil, he enlisted because he was a good man and wanted to carry on the family tradition and fight for freedom.
He didn't join Bush's army..he joined Clinton's army.
I wonder how many other parent's feel that same way?

1. I don't know why most of the military does'nt just throw down

their arms and get the hell outta of Iraq. In other words have a mass AWOL.

5. Yeah there is. Like it or not, this is not how war works.

You get your ass in there then you have to fend for yourself. Talk to fellow conservatives who are already in the war!!!! You can't just leave, you are there whether you like it or not to serve your country.

Only by enforced withdrawl, executive power, can YOUR superiors allow you to leave a country that is in the middle of hostile fire. :thumbsdown:

his golfing buddies are retired Army and retired Air Force. They all despise the shrub. My father said he would have voted for Al Sharpton before he voted for georgie.

I am sure that there are a lot of parents that feel the way your uncle does.

8. My hubby deployed to taht farce

before the shooting started, hell he was on the line on September 11

I saw him deploy the seocnd time for OIF... and I told my brother in law, if he got killed (and he was in th least dangerous of situations as he was a submariner), I would be leaving the country...for I could not live in a coutry where my husband died for a lie

He came home and shortly thereafter retired... and since has joined us on this side of the fight as he now has a right to ahem, speak
