ers. But right on, I agree with your post.

We totally trained Bin Ladin, just watch Rambo III, the Taliban are on the good side. It was those evil Russians we were fighting.

3. America loves corrupt totalitarian regimes which bend over.....
...and allow American enterprise to totally exploit all of the natural resources and people in the countries they rule while enriching the corrupt regimes. It's all about money. Oh, there is also a bit of that totalitarian larceny in the American policy makers as well.

4. Don't forget Ho Chi Minh courted us first
He fought alongside the OSS during WWII against the Japanese...and was never a Communist at that time. He made a lot of contacts with the OSS, and was very highly respected in those circles.

However, we backed France in their quest to reclaim their territories after WWII...and so Ho Chi Minh had to go elsewhere. In his declarations of Vietnamese independence he cited Washington and Jefferson much more than he cited Marx and Engels.

Basically, we drove him right into the arms of the Soviets.

Been that way for a long time -- all the way back to when Major Gen. Smedley 'The Button Man' Butler described the situation.
