Fuck Politics
Fuck politics today. If you're worried the GOP will exploit this today, merely shout back "fuck you." Its not the time for us, nor is it the time for them.

Right now, donate blood.

Feel for London. Feel for Bagdhad.

And above all, remember how unstable life is. You can go at anytime. Sobering thought, really.

1. I've known that for some time now. More people ought to.
Not for the sake of "ooooooooooooh, gotta make us safe! gotta make us safe! Seal the play pen! Gotta make us safe!" morons but to make life fairer so we truly get rid of terrorists; it boils down to haves and have-nots combined with fanatacism based on aeons-old, convoluted and flip-flope prone sci-fi?

16. You are absolutely right
And until we rid the world of the scourge of Bush and Blair (remove them from power, that is--I don't advocate violence), we can only look forward to more of the same.

That is who you meant, isn't it?

This attack is the direct result of failed US and UK policies. It is heartless to the people who died from these failed policies not to scream from every rooftop that all this nonsense about fighting the terrorists over there so we don't fight them here is total bullshit.

We are getting blowback from failed policies. If we do not point this out vigorously, more people will die needlessly.

It is because we honor the dead that we politicize this attack.

8. WRONG! it is disrespectful to NOT pursue the people that caused this:
Bush and Blair

Allowing them to frame the issue is the ULTIMATE disrespect to those that died today

17. Treat EVERY day as if it were your last.
And I already give blood. No blood given in the US will make it to the UK--but it will help others.

14. Don't precisely agree with your words
But I can feel what you're feeling, I think. This was an ugly thing, and it's an ugly thing no matter who did it or why. NO argument over that. I remember how I felt during 911, not knowing who did it or why, seeing the images again and again, and hearing planes flying overhead in a way I never did before.

Screw politics. Just get those who did this, no matter who they are. Terrorists or some government conspiracy, one isn't any better than the other.

I don't know, maybe it sounds like just another brand of political ranting, to want to point to our government, or theirs, as possibly having any part. That has bothered some people here. Saying this act had anything to do with Rove. I guess to someone that rejects all those ideas, it sounds like that, maybe even to some that already don't trust all the official stories about 911. But I have to say, from the other side, it's just more of us feeling like we can't stop such monsters from doing these things. It hardly matters if the monsters are ours, or foreign, to those poor victims, and I know that. But if they're our monsters, I REALLY want to know, because then, we CAN stop it.

It's the only way we can stop it from happening again. We can fight terrorism from here to forever, but if "terrorist acts" are some form of government shock tactics to scare the people into submission, to agree with further improved "fight terrorism" plans, with accompanying loss of rights and monies and voting, while the war machines get larger and the people get poorer, none of our wars on terrorism will change anything.

19. that's a false choice.
Everyone grieves in his or her own way. You can grieve, donate blood, "feel," AND still ask hard questions about what is happening in the world.
