Once again, the butchers have misunderestimated their expected victims. Of all people in the world, the British are most like us, deep down. Yes, they have been hampered by such close propinquity with Europe and Europeanism. But when it comes down to it, the British are not Europeans.

They are Brits.

I am positive that George Bush will offer anything they need -- but I'm equally sure that Tony Blair will say no, they're perfectly capable of taking care of these swine themselves... and they will. This will serve to galvanize the British public like nothing has since, as the Captain said, the blitz.

I think of the events of 9/11, and I still get angry. The orginization that planned it, the Terror Masters (monsters) I want dead. They can be tried and imprisoned first... but dead is where I want them. And BUSH doesn't care. He wanted to invade Iraq... to avenge his father, to secure oil, to transfer large sums of money to coorperate backers, to secure Isreal, to distract from the fact that he's robbing us blind, it doesn't matter. It's not part of the war on Terrorists.

Propinquity could easily be replaced with "proximity". There is absolutely ZERO reason for using the word "propinquity" except to be obnoxious.

Inchoate could easily be left entirely off. As an adjective it's more or less useless. It presence serves only to stroke the author's self-importance.

A bombing of British tubes and a bus are not likely to "galvanize the British public like nothing has since... the blitz". That's stupid and idiotic. Not to minimize today's attacks, but the British are not strangers to terrorism nor are they knee-jerk reactionary zombies like a good portion of Americans. The blitz was one thing and this terrorist attack is quite another.

the entire first paragraph truly sucks the ass. His use of overblown rhetoric bothers me almost as much as his convoluted sentence structure. He should get a copy of Strunk and read it carefully.

But then he wouldn't sound like an asshole and that would indeed be dishonest. I bet though, that if he really tried, he could be both spare AND stupid.
