Actually, in their rigid rhetoric and unthinking stupidity, they remind me of... Freepers, and their British equivalent.

I would have put money on the Standard as the one of Murdoch's rags to whip out some scary Muslim bullshit the day after the bombings. There is calm here, with a marked lack of the kill-the-Muslims fervour which I feared might appear. It is not being officially recognised who carried out these attacks and no jumping to premature conclusions.

not Murdoch owned - not that that makes a difference for 'kill-the-Muslims fervour' (if anything, it might even make it more likely).
