1. Get screenshots as I expect RimJob to scrub it
the vile bastards have a dense, black stone where their hearts should be.

2. Well, They make up shit
to justify living in their made-up world. It doesn't surprise me they think this is a made up death too.

What a bunch of crackpots.

We are keepin you and your family in our prayers and thoughts, Andy.

3. I saw someone asking if there's any proof

at another forum (one frequented by some former DUers who were obviously never liberals at all.)

You'd think he'd realize it'll be a day or two before an obituary will be published and can be copied here.

13. Undoubtedly, when an obituary appears in the Seattle paper,
some of them probably will still not believe it or be kind. When the recent article about Andy appeared, they picked it to pieces and still held onto their nutso theories.

4. I don't know whether to commend you or commit you.
I don't understand how some of you can spend even a minute's time with the Freepers in their native habitat. I'm not sure whether to applaud you for your bravery or question your sanity.

But I will thank you for showing the rest of us what they're like when they think nobody else is watching.

5. I don't understand any of this....
...who is Andy? Why do the freeptards need proof?

I'm sure I'll figure it out one way or the other if I hang out long enough.

6. Andy Stephenson was a voting rights activist
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 07:19 AM by undeterred
and a prominent member of DU.

This year he became ill with pancreatic cancer, but had no insurance. Through DU $50,000 was raised in May for him to have surgery at Johns Hopkins. I knew he was hospitalized but I didn't know how sick...

He was much loved here.

Edit: During the fundraising there were some outsiders who claimed that Andy wasn't really sick and this was all a scam. Enemies of fair voting and anyone who cares about it, I guess.

11. What goes around comes around
At some level, you really have to pity such heartless, stupid people. :(

12. No you don't.
You don't have to pity them. Although I agree, sometimes it's theraputic to think of them that way--as sick, mentally disturbed individuals, probably due to some kind of early trauma.

18. Trust me, I can hold a grudge....
and am very unforgiving towards those who are intentionally mean, cruel, and heartless. Big Time. :(

I have to pity those who choose not to act human or decent towards their fellow man, I mean, how empty can your life be to act towards others with such hostility? So, yes, pity. :(

I don't have to forgive them though. :(

16. Only surprised at how fast they started in.. What exactly DID Andy do
Edited on Fri Jul-08-05 03:19 PM by SoCalDem
to THEM? Why would they be so eager to deny him the surgery that could have saved his life? What was it to them, if WE chose to raise money for him? Were they really "worried" about the rest of us losing money? why would they even care?

They hated Andy viscerally, because he worked tirelessly for fair elections, and apparently holding crooked, rigged elections is ore valuable to them than life itself:(

15. "I suppose it's all our fault..."
Well, the bastards who threw the proverbial spanner into the paypal gears sure as hell deserve the blame for the operating being delayed; which as such worsened Andy's case for survival and Andy did not survive...

I'm angry too. And, yeah, they ARE at fault. If Andy had been cheating he'd have been caught right enough; unless you're Ken Lay it's damn near impossible to embezzle and get away with it...

17. The thing that pisses me off so much, was that once the money
was raised, Andy never had a moment's time to just relax and have his worries lessened.. He had to waste precious time and energy worrying
