1. Perhaps you should put up a poll!
Personally, I prefer not to know them. But, now that Wes is on there, I have to watch it occassionally. I must say, wouldn't it be easier and quicker to ask who's not despicable at Fox?

24. I wouldn't give them the legitimacy of deserving a poll on D.U.

3. Right now it is Brit Hume!
BASTARD! :grr:

"My first thought when I heard - just on a personal basis, when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought, 'Hmmm, time to buy.'" - Fox News's Brit Hume, 7/7/05

9. Yes, he actually said that. Here's the MM link
http://mediamatters.org/items/200507070007

From Fox News' July 7 breaking news coverage between 1 and 2 p.m. ET:

SMITH: Some of the things you might expect to happen, for instance, a drop in the stock market and some degree of uncertainty across this country -- none of that really seen today, and I wonder if the timing of it -- that it happened in the middle of the night and we were able to get a sense of the grander scheme of things -- wasn't helpful in all this.

HUME: Well, maybe. The other thing is, of course, people have -- you know, the market was down. It was down yesterday, and you know, you may have had some bargain-hunting going on. I mean, my first thought when I heard -- just on a personal basis, when I heard there had been this attack and I saw the futures this morning, which were really in the tank, I thought, "Hmmm, time to buy." Others may have thought that as well. But you never know about the markets. But obviously, if the markets had behaved badly, that would obviously add to people's sense of alarm about it. But there has been a lot of reassurance coming, particularly in the way that -- partly in the way the Brits handled all this, but also in the way that officials here handled it. There seems to be no great fear that something like that is going to happen here, although there's no indication that we here had any advance warning.

15. Yes I see
'T is just so great to see how the right has a deep abiding respect for morality in it's vast richness and deepness .After seeing what Rove and co got away with it's almost meek to say , but if there's karma , he'ld better enjoy the now , and small insignificant gains of the market .

Here in mainland europe there are certain universities , ussualy catholic ones , where the majority is what's called adolescent commie .The che shirts , all the works .Most of them study economy , ,,.....how cunning wouldn't it be to invite him as a guest speaker .Lure him in with the notion of lecturing at a filthy rich university ...and then ,...now this is their trademark , throw pies at him .(what did you expect , they don't take themselves that serious)

31. I heard him say it! Unbelievable!
what a crass, crass man.
So truly disgusting. Thanks, Hume, for advertising to a mass audience one of the uglier aspects of Bush's America. Greed.
On a day when we were all so saddened for our fallen friends, Hume was thinking of himself and his money.
Vile.

5. Do we have to pick just one?
Let's see - Hannitty, O'Reilly, Snow, Hume, Smith are all despicable in their own inimitable ways.
Hannitty gets the award for ignorance raised to high-art
O'Reilly is obnoxiousness personified
Snow is just flesh-crawling
Hume tries to do the "senior correspondent" schtick - although he's been a BFEE mouthpiece for decades - used to play tennis with Poppy
Smith is pretty-boy with a dirty mouth - his remark about J-Lo getting a blow job when he was actually talking about a curb-job (which BTW is much nastier in intent).
Who to choose, who to choose..............

10. Hume gets my vote
He will eat his own if he has to to defend his God Bush.

The other night he was arguing with Bill Kristol, defending the Iraq policy. Although I don't agree with Kristol(that we need more troops)he was making the point that this war is not working.

Hume was all over him and even Kristol said something to the effect of: you never disagree with Bush anyway.

So true.

8. Brian Wilson
http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/06/why-is-howard-dean-fox-news-so-angry.html

here's a snip but go read it all:

<snip>
AMERICAblog hears someone went batshit-crazy today at the Harry Reid/Howard Dean meeting, but it wasn't who the MSM would like to think.

Our sources tell us that a photo-op took place today with Howard Dean and Senator Harry Reid in Reid’s private office (these are usually secreted away in the Capitol Building itself, near the Senate floor). FOX News's Brian Wilson reportedly spent the photo op angrily interrupting reporters and shouting questions out of turn. After an initial swarm, reporters squeezed out the door. FOX's Brian Wilson was apparently wearing no credential of any kind (that wasn’t a red flag to anyone) and behaving "bizarrely angry" so the Washington Post's Mark Leibovich asked who he was.

We hear that Wilson "went nuts," responding to the Post reporter (whose credentials were clearly on display):

"Who the fuck are you?"
<snip>

21. What are you trying to do? Spur them on?
Brit Hume clearly has the lead right this second, but wait an hour, and either Cavuto or O'Reilly or Hannity will top him. The others will have no choice but to try to outdo that one.
