Michael Savage has lost his mind Re: London Bombings
He opened his show last night playing the famous Neville Chamberlain "Peace in our time" appeasement speech. Then goes on to trash liberals and how weak they are on defense. Now, how exactly did we appease the terrorists? We invaded the country where the majority of the terrorists were and then we invaded a country that had nothing to do with the terrorism. Should we invade more countries? Should we draft every man 18-30, break out some nukes and invade the smoking hole that used to be the middle east? I would really like it explained to me how we have appeased the terrorists. And I would REALLY like it explained to me how it was the liberals because we haven't been included in a policy decision since 2000. I'm sick to death of bad WWII parallels and this is the worst I've seen yet.

2. His mind has been lost for years......
I tune him in now and again when I feel like some verbal abuse. I see him for what he is- a blowhard. Just like Liddy. Just like Rush. Just like Laura.
We need to get some liberal blowhards on the radio somehow!

3. Rush Limburger said the same thing yesterday
The Liberals caused the attacks. At least we can explain his mental deterioration on drug abuse. I don't know what Savage's excuse is.

Looks like the talking-points fax went out. Laura Ingraham said the same thing this morning. I only listened for a minute but the reasoning went something like this:

Libruls are protesting the war which makes Iraqis feel insecure because they think we'll leave. This somehow makes insurgents in Iraq train bombers to take out the London subway.

20. Paul Harvey has been this way for years.
I had to quit listening to him. Puke to the bone. :puke:

Just because he has a good radio voice, and has told some amusing tales through his history on radio, doesn't mean he's one of the good guys.

5. What a jerk
I had a repub. tell me yesterday that we can not allow "them" to do what they do. Stumped me for a minute - - then I told him about the 100,000 innocent dead Iraq's. He wondered when did that happen with our high precision bombing? Well when you drop shitloads of bombs on top of innocent people, that is what you get+ recruits for the next action against us.

6. This crazed right-winger named Lisa Pinto sat in for Nancy Grace
last night and made Nancy Grace seem a moderate in comparison. It was the most bizarre hour of TV I've ever watched. She seemed to be on meth or something, about to crawl out of her skin.

8. Here's appeasement:
Bin Laden demanded the withdrawl of US forces from Saudi Arabia, and the US complied.

11. Great minds think alike
I just trotted that one out to the freeper that I talked to yesterday.

Bin Laden was flown out of Tora Bora while our fighters stood there mouths agape. When Rummy was asked about the flight, - - duh, I never seen no flight and if it happened we will find out about it.
These assholes must believe that no one is paying attention. And Binnie got his wish as the pRes. moved the troops out of Saudi Arabia.
I better quit now before I go into a full blown rant.

16. That's a fact the right wingers always conveniently forget.
Needless to mention the complicity, if not absolute participation, of the Saudi rulers (wink, nudge) in the attacks of September 11, 2001.

But that's too much for the right wing to digest. One little fact at a time, spoon feed it to them, maybe they'll grasp it. However, they seem to have no problem swallowing big shovelfuls of bullshit in one gulp.

15. used to listen to him on the way home from work.....30-60 seconds, then
back maybe 7 minutes later

anyway, I got a bit of a feel for some of his outlook.....it became clear that to him 'good America, good American values' are those of the 1950s

afterwards everything went downhill because of liberals and hippies etc

of course, the 50s were the last time in US society that most people at least publicly 'agreed' that white men are the true leaders of the world and women and other races must know their places (at the back of the bus, in the kitchen, etc) and never question what the white.male.leaders say

17. They're desperate, and grasping at straws.
They don't want to admit that they were wrong. That * IS NOT KEEPING US SAFE! So they are going to try and convince the masses that this is the Left's fault. But I don't see how that can fly as the Right controls every single facet of the government.

- He ended sanctions on Iraq.
- He pulled troops out of Saudi Arabia.

19. Bin Laden needed rallying cry, as do our nazi-conz Both got it in spades
The U.S. methods of war against Iraq and Afghanistan provides the paradigm for asking the public's support for CONTINUAL WAR. Thus justifying their war profiteer associates' existence. On both sides.

27. Probably Not, Sir
But you are correct. Chamberlain was a Tory. His background was in Birmingham manufacturies, and he was a dyed in the wool opponent of "Socialism" and liberality in any form. Munich was to be the groundwork, in his mind, for directing Hitler to immediate war with Stalin, to which end he offered Hitler a colossal money bribe, that was refused in favor of the Hitler-Stalin pact. During the "Phony War" period before the Blitz into France, Chamberlain had his military planners concentrate on means by which the Soviet Union could be struck, rather than Germany....
