The White House's propaganda site features numerous promotional photos of the Unelected Fraud engaging in various presidential-looking activities.

A few of these have become much more interesting, in light of the revelations that Bush lied to the American people while delivering the State of the Union speech.

For the last few days, the administration has attempted to blame everyone except George W. Bush for the speech he delivered, and to portray the speech reviewing process as so messy and arbitrary that no one can remember who wrote or revised what, much less which members of the administration saw the speech.

Luckily, we remembered how impressed we were viewing the pix of an engaged and hands-on George W. Bush at the taxpayer-funded official White House site, as he participated closely in the SOTU speechwriting process in January. We marveled at his competence and involvement, and the care he took in ensuring that no word would be uttered or information imparted to the American people without his personal approval.

I am speechless, these guys are even more amateour than Tricky Dick and those wonderful 17 minutes of tape that are missing.

"I crossed out a whole buncha hard words I don't know how to pronounce or what the hell they mean. "Pro-life-ration""- never heard of it. Now write sumthin I can understand or I'll have your asses fired."

Why else would they have jumped through hoops to keep every word in it? That speech is Bush's baby!! And his wittle feelings would have been crushed if they'd changed even one word, much less SIXTEEN!

Either Bush was really hands-on writing the speach (yeah - right) and therefore responsible for its content, or he didn't even know what was going on and the pictures are lies. They're screwed either way.

The truth, of course, is this: The pictures are lies and the administration (Cheney et al) are responsible for the lies in the address.

I love that ChimpCo gave us a trail right up to *, We need to get this pic to as many people as we can.

Regardless, whomever was there HEARD the Uranium thing, and didn't care. Bush READ it, and didn't care.

As the expectations continued to build, White House officials cast Mr Bush as the relaxed centre of the storm. He was only making small revisions to the speech, they said.

White House speechwriters had left space in the text for a reaction to the report on the United Nations weapons inspections, but it was unclear how much of that space had been used. Officials said they had been given some advance notice of the thrust of Dr Blix's report.

There's a captioned slide show with the names and images of all the speechwriters plus lots of loving text on the extent of the revisions and rehearsals.

Somebody please grab this slide show before they scrub it from the site. This won't last much longer imho.

I tried to open it with every picture related program I have. Finally, in desperation, I tried to open it with something called "REGISTER". Then, it just plain disappeared. I used search, but it seems to be totally gone.

I have just downloaded it again.

It is not a picture....it is a series of pictures which are presented as a Flash slide show.

If you would prefer to just download the pictures get them from bpilgims link. I like the actual slide show as it has little blurbs describing each picture as they are displayed, though.

why are these guys always standing up in the pictures??? i saw a news clip on cnn where Dubya was asked on the plane about his senigal speach, he said he hadnt seen it yet, he didnt know what was in it,.........

in his speaches. OOOOps I guess what he is saying is, that we ain't hearing his thoughts...we are hearing someones who is capable of thinking.

If you look real close, I think there is a mouse in the picture. Of course if he's head of the spooks, they could just tap the room.

It's funny how things often get left up on sites, the web is still very much an afterthought. And even if they do pull it, there's plenty of archives around :)
