We weren't going to leave. I got up Sunday Morning and it looked kinda stormy but not overly threatening. I got the Sunday New Orleans Times Picayune and they had a lot of storm stories. The one that caught my eye and made up my mind on the spot stated:
IF YOU ARE GOING TO STAY, ENSURE YOU TAKE AN AXE OR HATCHET INTO THE ATTIC WITH YOU IN CASE YOU HAVE TO CUT A HOLE IN THE ROOF SO YOU CAN GET OUT OF YOUR FLOODED HOUSE.
Eight hours later we were in Memphis and met most of our neighbors at Graceland the next day.
