Wealth and Inequality charts I found - and these end in the 90's
I'm researching how much worse things are even now.

INCOME AND WEALTH INEQUALITY

According to the Federal Reserve, in 1990 the richest 1 percent of America owned 40 percent of its wealth -- the greatest level of inequality among all rich nations, and the worst in U.S. history since the Roaring Twenties. Furthermore, the richest 20 percent owned 80 percent of America -- meaning, of course, that the bottom four-fifths of all Americans owned only one fifth of its wealth.

Another revealing way of expressing this statistic is that the top 1 percent owned more than the bottom 90 percent combined.

4. Do a search for articles by...
... David Cay Johnston of the NY Times. He's been collecting and analyzing the most recent data on income, taxation and wealth accumulation, and he's lately been focusing on the super-rich.

Apparently, he and the Times have been working on developing analytical software that even the government doesn't have, and some of the results come from that.

Cheers.

6. As I drove behind a Hummer with the plates "GOP", I mused...
.. this is the hedonistic Reagan years all over. The rich get richer.. they GLADLY flaunt their wealth. The disgusting huge Hummer with the personalized plates "GOP" says it all. Oh, and the hummers around here are all driven by petite, blonde, barbie types, who need all that vehicle for what? A small child? A bag of groceries?
