The right is undoubtedly giddy
Judging from the posts from the right-wing media, they are just giddy with excitement over the attacks in London. Commentary ranges from the assessment that these were not successful (tell that to the 50+ killed, the thousands injured, the tens of thousands disrupted, and consider the millions of hours dedicatd to analyzing the event) to the belief that they got the wrong target, wouldn't it be nice if the French were killed instead. Who knew that so many psychopaths and sociopaths were in our midsts.

Then there's the giddines of having Iraq and rove off the front pages. Take a look at the NYT and CNN -- hurricanes, London aftermath, etc. You wouldn't even know that Americans were being killed in Iraq -- 7 Americans killed so far this month; bet you missed that one. You wouldn't know a thing about treason or perjury in the Plame case. Downing Street memos? Never heard of 'em. Lies, treachery, deceit, death, destruction, failed policies? Nope, nowhere to be seen.

A slight case of Attention Deficit Disorder? Skip the fluoride in the water; they should put in Ritalin.

10. I think "culture of life" only applies to lives they deem worthy...
ya know like women in persistent vegitative states, unborn potential repuke voters, and good old god fearing gay bashing fundie whack jobs.

12. It only applies to those without cognitive abilities
they can project whatever they want onto a blank slate; they see such life forms as perfect Republicans.

2. They can run....

...but they can't hide from reality. Don't worry, it is catching up to them.

3. Okay, maybe it's because I've stopped taking my medication. . .
but that's what we are telling ourselves here at DU. Sure, there are people like Conyers out there, and Boxer, and that's great. But the right wing - whether politicians or pederast fundies - manages to have the slime slide right of their backs. No one of any note is going to prison. No one expresses regret, remorse, or shame for their actions. so I'm not as hopeful at the moment.

4. That's because when things start to look bad for their Chimperor
there's another attack. And someone told this right-wing site that there will be another attack on US soil. Especially if the Chimp continues to get in trouble, IMO.

8. I'm guessing that's because ...
... most of 'em have no regrets, no remorse, and feel no shame. Hard for them to relate when they have no context for these emotions.

6. Funny...the ones who claimed disgust at liberals
for our so-called "disappointment" over those "free democratic elections" in Iraq are now dancing jigs over the deaths of their allies.
I guess you could call this an improvement--they show no emotion whatsoever over the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqi.

11. They're digging their own graves
I would be happy to push them in and shovel them under. The takeaway will be, this war on terror just created more hatred. And that a bellicose pack of nazis can't prevent attacks. Which is so obvious it is not worth talking about. There are plenty of blond, blue-eyed muslims who can launder their identities. Creating the hatred by abusing prisoners, humiliating their women, etc. is just going to create more hatred. Now those idiots are secretly planning to withdraw troops to help Republicans win in 06. We have to call them on making battle plans dependent on Republicans winning elections.
