1. They are waiting for us to forget about him so that Bolton can
quietly withdraw his name from the nomination process, due to "pressing family issues" or "undocumented nanny issues", etc etc.

16. Yeah, but if you can do it without anyone stopping you, why wait?
When have they ever been concerned about looking sneaky? Not a darn thing any of us could do about it.

6. You mean his extended family at Plato's Retreat?
or perhaps the Bunny Ranch, where he sells Moustache Rides for 5 cents?

5. Now that KKKarl Rove is going to be consumed
with legal issues, it will be interesting to see if the various spins and deceits coming out of the administration are less ...um.... sophisticated.

15. I think his nomination will quietly vanish
Political capital cannot be wasted on an appointee with little real power for a job that will last for 3 1/2 years max. But he won't just go away. The neoconservatives have a permanent revolving door between the Bush Administration, the AEI, PNAC, Heritage Foundation and all the other cleverly named think tanks. My guess is that by this time next year he'll be making $200,000 a year to publish rambling columns for some neo-con think thank.
