The Debate Tonight Clearly Settled One Thing.
Whoever wins should definitely make Sharpton the Press Secretary.

Can you imagine him coming out everyday facing the packhounds? How exciting.

It's time we all admit that Al is very very smart. It's kinda fitting that his name is "Sharpton".

Come on DU. Let's give a hand to Al.

7. Yeah, I LOVE Al
I've never heard him during any of these debates not get it right. Hell, not just "right," but astonishingly, amazingly, totally right, and usually humorously as well.

Love him.

11. If he were Press Secretary, who would be brave enough to jump in
his face? If I were President and Al was my Press Secretary, I could roll with anything. "Talk to the hand." Heh heh.

I also get the impression that Al wouldn't lay out any bullshit either, like the slew of Press spokesman we've seen lately. It's odd, given the Brawley thing long ago, but somehow, Al comes across as being ethical enough not to bullshit anyone even if he was pressed to do so.

Even the impossible could happen. After he briefs 'em, no questions.

B-)

13. Press Secretaries have to lie
Sharpton speaks the truth. Truth turns off people. Can't have the truth coming out in press conferences. No, Sharpton and Kucinich and the like should continue to be demonized and marginalized.
