Ask Ari! WH chat at 5:15 EST
http://www.whitehouse.gov/ask/

I'm really torn between the following:
1. How do you sleep at night?
2. Why are you such a liar? (apropos quote from Will Ferrell)
3. Did you know you can't spell LIAR without ARI?

1. Thanks for posting.
Unfortunately, he will never respond to your valid questions. But there is no harm in trying. :)

Welcome to the DU :hi:!!!

3. Thanks
I know he'll never answer them, and I doubt if he'll even see them. But wouldn't it be fun if they got a tidal wave of negative questions? They would have to either work to find some positive ones, or just make them up.

Here's what I decided on:
Do you believe the American people have a right to know what their government is doing? Because when I listen to your briefings, it sure doesn't seem like it.

4. good one nicole heres mine
Why were the troops benefits cut so some CEO could have another million dollars?
on second note looks like my old idol is working for Bush for the teeball stuff but anyone who can have Clinton and Gore at his games has to have some class. Sucks I think if Cal Ripken is a republican but I think even if he is he has more class than the average one.

6. When can we have our country back

12. Here's my question
Ari, the new official line on the Niger forgery seems to be that the forgery was just one piece of evidence in a big mountain of evidence, most of which has not been discredited.

However, in a comprehensive review of the publicly available records of statements made by you and other members of the Bush administration in the run-up to the war, I am unable to find even a single piece of hard evidence that has held up to scrutiny. Colin Powell's transcript of the incriminating telephone conversation turned out to be largely erroneous. The "Intelligence Dossier" that contained the forged Niger documents also contained a lot of irrelevant and outdated information that was met with derision in the intelligence community. Bush's claim that Iraq's aluminum tubes were for uranium production turned out to be based on an imaginary report.

In short, can you name a single piece of hard evidence presented by this administration in the run-up to the Iraq war that has not turned out to be either false or misrepresented in some way?
-------------------------
I'm taking action on whether it'll get in. Starting at 300-1...

Let me begin by saying that I truly admire your calmness, happy personality and ability to remain polite and professional when interacting with an occasionally rude and demanding press corps.

I'm adjusting the odds up to 1000-1... Any takers?

19. He won't answer mine, but I sent one any way.
Damned if I've ever seen so many softballs lobbed at The Liar. The press whores online or something?

Mine:

Ari, you and many other administration officials have said repeatedly in the lead-up to the war in Iraq that Saddam Hussein had massive amounts of chemical and biological weapons, including, but not limited to, VX Nerve Gas, Sarin Gas, and Botulnum Toxin, as well as the munitions to launch these weapons. However, since major combat operations have ended, none of these weapons, nor any trace of them being destroyed, has been found. Since you do not like to work with hypotheticals, can you confirm that these weapons do in fact exist? If so, where are they? What evidence can you produce that will back-up your answer? I have a follow up, if you will: Since you and other administration officials have claimed that the above mentioned weapons were unaccounted for in Iraq's U.N. declaration, how do you know these weapons did exist to begin with? Did the U.S. keep the receipts? Thank you.

20. his response to one question honest Ari boy you dont know honest
I think the White House has been up front and forthright about this. After all, it was the White House that first said the remarks should not have risen to the level of a Presidential speech. Given Saddam's history of seeking, and obtaining, uranium in Africa in the 80s, the intelligence suggesting he continued to try in the late 90s may be accurate. But becuase it's not certain, it should not have been in the State of the Union. The war, however, was not fought because Iraq did or did not seek uranium in Africa. It was fought because of his possession of chemical weapons, biological weapons, and his pursuit of nuclear weaponry, whether he sought its components from Africa or elsewhere.

23. Wow.
He took a question about "how many more of our men have to needlessly die overseas in Iraq for our president to decide it's time to bring them home?"

Ari sez, "The President mourns every loss of life."

Really? Apparently only revisionist historians remember "Bring 'em on!"

he only answered one or two that looked anti bush adminstration.
Now you all want proof that Ari is Bush's humble servant. I present to you.
"Thanks for your questions. Thanks also for being involved and paying attention to what the White House is doing. It's been a honor to serve this President. Although I'm leaving the White House, I'll never leave President Bush."
Bye Ari i will miss your lies but I am sure the next guy will be just as dishonest and I think Helen is gonna have a bunch of fun.

Ten or so puff balls, and two semi-tough ones with his usual BS answer. What a wimp.
