Has * ever answered a tough question in his life
For all the bashing the right is doing of Clark right now, such as having Rush Limbaugh of all people attack his credentials, as well as many others taking him to task for his lack of stances on the issues, I get really PO'd when I think of how easily Bush got off in the last campaign and still gets off today.

The guy recently admitted to Brit Hume in an interview that he doesn't "read the stories" in the newspaper. He only scans the headlines and has Andrew Card give him a summary of the days events. Give me a freaking break. This guy brags about how little he knows and cares about the world, yet we are supposed to get upset at Clark for putting some serious thought into a question and flip-flopping. What a fraud * is. WHoever gets the nomination should absolutely grill the guy.

1. How many times have you heard Repubs say "But he surrounds
himself with intelligent people"? I heard that about Reagan, bush* and just yesterday someone out in California said they were going to vote for Arnold because they believe he will "surround himself with people who know what they are doing". Why do they purposefully support those they know to be IDIOTS? What does that say about the Republican party?

3. Yeah, seems the GOP needs figure heads
to carry their message. They send someone up there with big name appeal, and use him as a puppet. It seems they can't get a real Conservative with mass appeal. McCLintock? Delay? Trent Lott? Think about it. What true Conservative could really appeal to the masses? Instead they send up these jokers who can sugar coat the GOP agenda and try to appear like normal people, then when they win put the GOP machine in charge.

4. They are going to set it up so that there are no debates
Or only one. The Bush people are going to push for no debates, so that when they get one debate, it is a coreographed daul press conference that allows President Bush to just read off cards.

5. Chimpy always answers the tough questions,
he just answers in non sequitur code that only his flock can understand. Example: Q: How will your tax cuts help poor people? Chimpy: Poor people will get billions of dollars and will never have to pay taxes again, the lucky duckies. Reich wing interpretation: Poor = rich.

6. It's part of the GOP M.O. to portray us as "smartie-pants-know-it-alls."
Remember, they relished in doing this to Gore.

However, now that Americans are fully aware of the dangers of installing an idiot in the White House, and now that the electorate has witnessed the effect Bush's arrogance and complete lack of interest and knowledge about the world which surrounds him, I do not think it will help the GOP one little bit to attempt this strategy again.

7. The "press" knows that once they ask a hard question,
that will be their LAST opportunity, and he would duck it or spin it anyway..

There is a reason why he rarely ever responds spontaneously... His handlers know that he cannot think for himself and cannot utter a coherent sentence..

Instead of the press seizing the opportunity, they back down.. Once his polls fall far enough to make it look like he might lose, they will try, but the access to * will be very limited..
