Another damaging aspect of the Rove story
it debunks the myth that "everybody thought there were WMD."

Bringing people back to 2003 hurts Bush big time because it reminds people of something the media has been trying to get everyone to forget, and which they covered up in the first place, that there actually was quite a debate about all those WMD claims.

Now people will be revisiting all that in the light of what we now know about there being NO WMDs in Iraq.

1. yeah, it's been debunked about 50 times now
but maybe it will stick this time! It's always good to bring that back into focus though--and while some say this is a distraction from the DSM, I think the whole Niger saga just backs up the DSM.
