Google Search Gets Spoof On Weapons of Mass Destruction
(this is HYSTERICAL!)

July 14, 2003 (3:38 p.m. EST)
TechWeb News

The Bush administration is getting a ribbing on popular Internet search site Google.
Type "weapons of mass destruction" on the site and click on "I feel lucky," and the user gets a page unavailable note that starts, "The weapons you are looking for are currently unavailable. The country might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your weapons inspector mandate."

Toward the end of the note, the readers is advised, "Click the bomb button if you are (Defense Secretary) Donald Rumsfeld.

The spoof is poking fun of the administration's failure to produce the weapons of mass destruction that led the U.S. and England into war against Iraq. The page was created by Anthony Cox, a teaching fellow at Aston University in Birmingham, England.

The Bush administration has taken a considerable amount of heat from the international community for failing to find weapons of mass destruction after defeating the regime of Iraqi ruler Saddam Hussein.

Some countries require 128 thousand troops to liberate them. Click the Panic menu and then click About US foreign policy to determine what regime they will install.
