Casting Call... THE BUSH PRESIDENCY: THE MOVIE
Edited on Sat Jul-16-05 12:01 AM by fricasseed_gourmet_r
I was inspired by Yurbud, who set up a great poll for casting an actor to play Bush in a biographical movie depicting his "exploits." So anyway, who ELSE do you think would be in the movie? Here are some of my suggestions...

Karl Rove - John Goodman

Donald Rumsfeld - Paul Newman with a combover

Dick Cheney - Charles Durning - even though he's a little old, after he played Big Pappy O'Daniel in O Brother, Where Art Thou I had to pick him for Uncle Dick. Do a google image search for him -- IMDB doesn't have pics.

Condoleezza Rice - Eartha 'Catwoman' Kitt is too old, unfortunately, but that would kick ass.

And in supporting roles...

Matt Cooper - JASON ALEXANDER!!! Need I say more!??!

Rush Limbaugh - Michael Badalucco, best known as George "Babyface" Nelson, the whiny bank robber from O Brother. (Hey, it's one of my favorite movies.) For a visual, http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0045937

Tucker Carlson - James Van Der Beek doing a repeat of his whiny "Dawson's Creek" days, except in a bow tie. See http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004735

2. Jeff Bridges and Sharon Stone as Joe and Valerie Plame.
Philip Seymour Hersh would be the definitive Karl Rove.

17. J. Edgar Hoover would be a bit more fresh if we dug him up
to play Barbara Bush. The resemblance is uncanny:

Maybe Poppy Bush went ahead and married J. Edgar, linking the CIA and FBI.

19. Oh, yeah! I was about to suggest Wallace Shawn....
P.S.H. is brilliant, a great choice. Perhaps they'd need a special filter to remove the light of human soul from his eyes to play Karl, though.
