Yesterday was the first time I actually went over to FR

Yesterday was the first time I actually went over to FR other than clicking on links posted here at DU. I went in through the front door and I got the creepiest feeling!!!! I felt like I had bugs crawling all over me and I was on Fear Factor. I could only stay their for about five minutes before I could not take it any more! I had to get out!:scared:

The other day I posted some nice things about Freepers and many people said "their are NO good Freepers". Well, I found this hard to believe. I thought certainly some must be OK, their has to be some John McCain types over their that I can tolerate.

After reading several dozen posts, it appears it's possible that THEIR REALLY ARE NO GOOD FREEPERS! Now I am the most nonjudgmental person on the planet but it was pure 100% insane, sheep all walking in lock step hypnotized by classic group-think! It wasn't just bad over their, it was downright SICK! It was radical, hateful, slimy, ignorant, shallow, scary and insane!:puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:

Had much the same response you did. Although, I didn't think they were all that bad at first, but I started thinking...... And, I realized that my expectations were so low about what kind of people they would be that I wouldn't have been surprised if the Devil (Karl Rove) jumped out of my monitor and stabbed me with a pitchfork.

I won't call them Nazis but the ground over their is fertile for the kind of narrow, tunnel vision mentality seen in Germany under Hitler. Not that they are bad people, just not that smart and easily caught up in group-think. (Ditto Heads). That was my honest perception.

the one that did it was when I asked them why, with all of the crap going on in the world, were there so many threads about the "homosexual agenda"...of course I did say something along the lines of "methinks thou doth protest too much". Freepers have no sense of humor!:evilgrin:

So, really, there are no good freepers. They don't stay around long enough. Besides, if they are really 'good', they wouldn't remain on that board. They wouldn't be able to tolerate the poisonous atmosphere that exists there.

Their party has controlled both houses of Congeress for 11 years and they have had The WH for 16 of the last 24 years! Yet they have convinced themselves that somehow the system is stacked against them :( I just don't get it, and thank God for that. If I ever start to get the FR it's time to let the car engine purr me off to sleep.

As you say, Republicans control everything. Not only that, but freepers believe the country is much better off with a Republican government (particularly when it's run by their King, the Dumbass), so you'd think they'd be peeing all over themselves with giddiness instead of being constantly angry and miserable. Right? Right? What am I missing here?
