This extended coverage of the London bombings is obscene
Cover of today's NYT: relatives and friends holding up heart-rending photos of missing loved ones. A horrible tragedy by anyone's estimation.

Cut to Yahoo! lead story:

http://news.yahoo.com/fc/world/iraq

Ninety-fucking-eight people, civilians all, killed today alone because of our war (yes, because of it).

Where are the photos of these people? Where are the tear-jerking stories about their dreams, their families? Where is the search for their killers? Do they even get one?

Each passing day this overt racism becomes more and more obvious, and more and more disgusting. Excuse me while I punch a wall. :grr:

4. Actually, I did -- more likely than not
because a Brit was killed.

6. Not direced at you
Directed at the paucity of MSM coverage in the States.

2. Couldn't agree more. And I don't think they even realize their racism.
Maybe they do. Either way, utterly despicable.

3. it's tragic, really
more killed than in the London issue, but for some reason people from the Middle East are less valuable than Europeans or 'Murikans. :-(
